Birthday and such.

So first up is well it is my birthday this Sunday. I usually hate my birthday and don't like to celebrate much but this year I seem to be more excited for it for some reason. If you are struggling what to get me here is an idea :)


I bought new shoes Saturday... I rarely buy new shoes because I get such an attachment to certain pairs and wear them to death. Example: my Chucks I bought in 2004. Here are my new shoes I'm so excited about :)




In case you didn't know I love Hello Kitty, I have since I was 6. I used to go to the town drug store and they had one little display to shop from and it was the most exciting thing ever for me. I found these today and cannot wait to make them!!!




Congrats to my favorite band @Eisley for making the Nylon Music Edition!!! So excited for them!




So I made some cookies... Shocker! First up are the baseball cookies and Berne Union High School graduation ones I made. I know they look like hot dogs...go BUHS Rockets.







Tonight I made cookies for my best friends brothers rehearsal dinner. (mouthful) Congrats to The Hoon's!

Hello!!!

So today I had the chance to play with some ducks and some babies. A woman by where i work raises ducks and they stay in the pond behind her house. I've been dying to take Nolan over there and see them. It was SO much fun!
















Also I made golf themed cookies for my friends boyfriends birthday and got my room mates birthday cookies done. I was so sad cause I've been waiting on an Eiffel Tower cookie cutter for her and it still hasn't arrived. Boo. I get to make princess themed ones this week and wedding cookies next week. I will be sure to post them!

Sorry it's been a few days or so since I blogged! May and early June is so hectic with birthdays and such... Tomorrow is my room mates birthday. HUGE shout out to Jackie Shull! I am trying to make her special birthday cookies if the cookie cutter gets here in time, if not I of course have a back up plan :)

So a note about Ms. Jackie for her birthday. I met Jackie almost 4 years ago and she has been a savior to me. Calling her my best friend doesn't do her justice. She is my family, a sister. No one has witnessed me more at my high and lows than she has and no matter how high and how horribly low she has stood by me and held my hand and no amount of words or money could ever thank her for that. When I met Jack one of the oddest forms of connections was pointed out. The worst day of my life happened to be her birthday. I lost my mom on May 19, 2002. It's so weird that while God took away the most important person of my life on May 19 it's like he tried to make it up to me by giving me the bestest friend ever with a birthday on that date. It used to be a very hard day for me but over the past 4 years it has became easier because I'm celebrating my best friends birthday that day. I do not believe this to be a coincidence by any means but a means of fate and a gift. So while I will always mourn my mother I will always celebrate my best friend. So to the person who has taught me faith, patience, love, acceptance, understanding, forgiveness, strength, and most of all loyalty I hope you have an amazing birthday :) I love you from the depths of my soul.










Also a huge thank you to my amazing friends who walked the Komen Walk with me this past Saturday. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. I know my mother and Debbie say thank you :)
















Also my best friend Natalie (who has been since we were 4) came to the walk with her baby, Blaire. Blaire is kind of sorta the love of my life and I can't get enough of her and I hate that she is 2 hours away from me. This is one of my new favorite promo pictures for Yellow Duck ;)

I just wanted to share the 2 new cookies I made. Well I guess I should say shapes. :)








These are both cut out cookies with Buttercream frosting. I just love the mini cookies. I still have a hippo and a Cowboy boot to try out.

Also with the Lemonade Cookies, they can also be pink lemonade!

I get to finally taste P Dot Cupcakery's ymmies tonight! I'm so excited. What is a diet again? Wine, cookies, cupcakes, appetizers???? Yum!

Mid week update!

I wanted to post to keep everyone updated. Chasen liked his Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Nutella cookies! Yea! I was cooking blind with that cookie since I've never cooked Gluten Free. Here was the outcome!





I wanted to remind Everyone that I do take special orders on all cookies. If you have a theme or color you need... No problem here.

Meijer's on Maxton (how cute??)

I was busy this week baking some orders! Here are three that I did.


S'more cookies. I changed the recipe some because I wasn't 100% happy with it and these ones came out perfect! It was quite the stubborn cookie to get perfect! They are back for sale!



I made these flower cut outs for an employee at the Hollister home office. I had specific colors to do per their color boards. Wow I just mixed my Fashion degree with my cookies :)



These are my new lemonade cookies. They taste like actual lemonade. Not telling my secret to it either ;) The icing on top is a Lemonade Buttercream with a Lemonhead on top. This is the perfect summer cookie. Now if the summer weather ever shows up!

I am working on the blog this weekend to get Paypal on it so you can order and pay from the menu. Much easier! I am also going to test run the Gluten free Nutella cookie. I may also try a peanut butter and jelly cookie. Hmmm...

Nolan's Easter present :)

I'm so excited to share my new cookie!!!! I made cut out cookies of Ohio! I played around with the decoration of the cookie to see what I liked best. I wanted the icing to be a bit more red but I tried a different brand... I think I will go back to the color brand I was using for the next round.





I am running a contest through 2:00pm today that if you RT this brand or anything about YDC on Twitter or on BlogSpot you will be entered to win a dozen of these Ohio cookies. Yum... Free cookies?

I am also this week going to try to get the Gluten Free Nutella cookie good to go! Chasen is going to be my taste tester for this one cause he is the king of Gluten Free foods.
