Weekly Update!

Hi everyone!!!

So it's time for an update!

I have been working with Columbus Alive for a future feature they are doing on local cookie companies and sent some Ohio to their offices to test. I am SO excited to be a part of this story with a few other local cookie companies. It will be published in CRAVE and will more than likely be in the Fall issue.

I FINALLY met Wolf (@twstarr) from the SBB (Small Business Beanstalk) last week. If you don't have an SBB card, they are free and you must get one! He is doing such great things with local businesses! I had such a great time meeting him and I cannot wait for Yellow Duck to be a part of The SBB!

My friend Courtnie and I were so busy getting marketing and all that together last week. I'm so thankful I have a best friend that is a Marketing/Social Media diva that can you know show me how to make and use a QR code :)

Saturday night was CYP A Date 2 Remember. I was so honored to be among so many other great food vendors that night. I was so happy to be next to my friend, Tammi, who owns PolkaDot Cupcakery. We had a good time :) There were around 1,000 attendees. Here are some pictures of the event. Thanks again to Katherine and Heidi for everything!

I played around with Valentine's Day the other night and this is what came out of it. I will also be selling singles designs for us single folk :)

Oh wow this is going to be a long blog!!! I've been so bad blogging but I'm here to get everyone up to date with all things Yellow Duck!!!

First off some pictures of orders I have done!

I am introducing cakes this week. The pricing and flavors and such will be up on the website this week. Here is a picture of a cake I did this past week!







I wanted to also update everyone on some fun charity events we are doing that are coming up! This year is my mom's 10 year anniversary of her death and I want to honor her all year long by doing great things with giving back!

- January 28: CYP A Date 2 Remember. We are honored to be the ONLY cookie company asked to sponsor this event. We are baking around 500 cookies to donate. See the website below to find out about this HUGE AWESOME event!!!



- Cakes for a Cause. We will be donating an auction item! Last year this event raised enough money to feed 16 families all year long through the Mid Ohio Food Bank! Such a great cause!

- The James Cancer Center. I am so happy to be getting the chance to donate to James. This is where my mom had her surgery and where her doctor worked. She just loved the care and the hospitality at James. I will be donating cookies for refreshments at an event for hereditary cancer fighters and their families and making a few items for prizes.


Ok on to holidays!

For Valentine's Day I will be offering some sort of basket. I'm thinking per great guidance I will do cookies that look like conversation hearts and red heart sandwiches. Keep a look out for pricing and such!

Then onto Easter! I will be offering cut out Easter eggs and Easter jars. The Easter jars will be topped with green colored coconut and jelly beans :) I will be offering cookie Easter baskets also!

Last but not least I want to announce that I am starting to do all things weddings! Rehearsals, receptions, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and showers. You name the theme and we can make it work! Each wedding party will be specially priced and quoted. Bundles are available for multiple events with discounts. Please pass this info on to all your engaged friends :)
